For this week’s beer review, we’ve got RJ Rockers Buckwheat After Dark. It’s an American dark wheat ale, which is basically an Americanized version of the German dunkel weisse. It’s darker, with a more complex malty flavor than RJ’s regular Buckwheat Ale, and is a very good example of the style. In our opinion the hometown brewery really stepped it up for this one. It’s so good in fact, we hope that RJ Rockers decides to bottle this one and keep it in the permanent lineup. For the time being though, if you want to sample this fine brew, you’ll have to get your ass out to the Taproom. Check out the video for our full review.

  1. aaaaaggh…I know the song at the end…but can’t remember what tv show it is from!!! I’m stumped. I suspect Battlestar Gallactica the original series..but I am very uncertain.
