You might expect that on an icy weekend where everyone in town was stuck inside, YouTube would be inundated with quality videos of winter weather activities, people sledding, having sleet-ball fights, making sleet angels, and generally entertaining those of us who take it upon ourselves to look at local videos.  If you did expect that, you might be dissappointed.  As of now, this is the best I can do.  A 10 second clip of a couple of kids sledding.  You have to give it up for the one kid though.  That running jump onto the sled was pretty sweet.

Some forward thinking people actually prepared for the winter blast ahead of time. The folks over at the Spartanburg County Public Library sure did. Figuring that they might not be there on Monday, they decided to go ahead and knock out this week’s Monday Minute on Friday. This one’s all about their Sit ‘n Stitch knitting classes.

Next up we’ve got a post from News Channel 7′s Amy Wood. In this video she’s interviewing Spartanburg based pilot John Somero, who will be spending the next month flying in relief supplies to Haiti.

Finally, we’ll end things with a song this week. Musician and Spark regular Bryan “ChAng” Teague posted a great song this week called “Sad Clown Frown.” It’s definitely worth a listen.

That’s it for this week. Do you have a favorite local video this week? Let us know in the comments.
