It’s been a sloooooow week for local videos here in Hub City. The local vloggers seem to be in a kind of reverse hibernation, and instead of recording new content for us — their loyal viewers — they appear to be out there enjoying summer or something. Get your priorities straight, people!

But, thankfully, there were a handful of worthwhile videos uploaded this week.

You know things are getting wacky when Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.) — hardly a man known for his liberal bias — is being presented as a big-government loving, socialized-medicine considering, Obama-birth-certificate not-disbelieving tool of the left. Then again, Inglis dared to question Glenn Beck in a room filled with people who like being fearmongered to. Check it out …

Meanwhile, Spartanburg-based hip-hop artist Yung Felon released a new DIY video for his track “Hand In The Air” this week. And it’s kind of awesome.

Even though most of Spartanburg’s regular vloggers can’t be bothered, Kratos87Fan19 … er … David, can be. This week, he reaches back into pop culture history to review a film that helped to make Jim Carrey a star: The Mask.

And we close this week with a recently uploaded video from the Spartanburg-based online sitcom Triflin’ Friends, which only recently came to our attention here at the Spark. Here’s “He Got Game.”

As always, feel free to post links to any cool, recently uploaded local videos we missed in the comments. Just make sure you tell us what you’ve linked to, and if there’s any not safe for work content.

The Inglis video… What a shame! I’m CERTAINLY no Republican, but Bob Inglis is one of the most reasonable, caring people I know. Is this how we run our government or is this a Jerry Springer clip? Watching that just makes me sad.

Way back when, I lost a bet in 1992, because I couldn’t believe the Upstate would elect Inglis over Patterson, who was a dedicated reasonable moderate.
Gosh — It’s so sweet to watch Inglis squirm as his wacko conservative constituents now turn on him.

I just hope they calm down!
