It’s been a while since we’ve checked in on our favorite local bloggers, so this week, that’s the focus.
Although she’s technically not local, Forest City-based vlogger ViciiWantsRevenge is a local favorite, so we start with her. Here, the recent high-school grad is at the beach with her cousin Jessi.
Local geek-culture vlogger David, aka Kratos87Fan19 gives us his review of the classic sci-fi flick Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. It’s his favorite of both trilogies, it turns out, but I’ll forgive him for that.
Vlogger/blogger Dani contributes a yet another neat video to the Life According To Us project. It focuses on her cat, Gray Ghost.
I guess we should refer to vlogger MBARvids as the “reptile vlogger.” I this video, once you make it past the overlong intro, he talks about his newest pet. What is it? Nothing special. Just a rattlesnake.
Next up, we have cruffa1984 — aka Chris Newman, aka Inman-based rapper Hedless — with his first attempt at a vlog. It’s already one of my favorites.
Speaking of new vloggers, chaosdragon6985 has only been posting videos for a few weeks. He’s one of a growing number of openly gay vloggers here in Spartanburg. In this video, he gives us his take on the recent Upstate Pride march.
When possible, I like to end on a song. Here’s the Belleville Outfit at the recent Music Camp fest in Spartanburg. The song is called “Oh Baby.”
Know of a cool, recently uploaded local video we missed? Leave a link to the video and a brief explanation of what you’re linking to in the comments.

Blasphemy! Everyone who’s anyone knows that “Empire” is where it’s at. That giant teddy-bear saturated travesty doesn’t even come close.
Steve, thank you for bringing back the girls from Forest City. I had almost forgotten their last journey heading north on I-85.
Of course my mind has been clouded by the image of Flying Oscar getting back on a bicycle.
Thanks again for the cleaner!

Did I miss something? There’s a couple of things I guess I should point out to you camelmike since apparently not aware of them. First, “Flying Oskar” is the name of a local political column I do for the Spark as well as the name of my personal blog. It is not, as you can plainly tell, my actual name. Unlike you, I do not need to hide behind a screen name so I can slander others anonymously. Second, it’s “Flying Oskar” not “Flying Oscar”. Geez, as much as you obsess about every little thing I write–even the parts I’d forgotten I’d written–you’d think you could at least spell the name right.
Did I miss something?

Well, since you asked,

“Unlike you, I do not need to hide behind a screen name so I can slander others anonymously.”
**********************************
If mentioning the notion of your “fat ass” (your words) on a bike is slander, so be it.
Hiding behind a screen name as you put is quite common on the internet. The reason for this is obvious. Not nefarious.

“Second, it’s “Flying Oskar†not “Flying Oscarâ€.”
Ok, ok, I misspelled your screen name. At least I didn’t think you were Steve this time, and you know I’m not the only one who has.

“Geez, as much as you obsess about every little thing I write–even the parts I’d forgotten I’d written–you’d think you could at least spell the name right.”
I think “obsess” might be a strong choice of words here but you can have that.
Dude, I am trying to read your writing. Hep me.
It’s not my duty to worry about what you may have “forgotten” and I will try to spell your name, …uhh, screen name right the next time.
One last thing, are you really going to get back on your bike?
