Another local company is poised to bring more jobs to the area. Sterling Packaging is expanding, adding a second facility and will be bringing aboard 50 new employees by April according to the article in today’s Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
Considering that all the news we seem to hear on the employment front these days is bad, it is refreshing to see that companies in Spartanburg County haven’t just given up. This news is just the latest of positives on the jobs front.
Another article yesterday discussed grocery chain Bi-Lo’s appeal to buy locally and mentioned several vendors that they use who produce goods locally that the chain carries on their shelves. Let us hope this is just the beginning of a positive trend for our local economy.
