For the last several weeks, the Spartanburg video-blog scene has been very active, with a surprising number of interesting vids going up each day. This week, however, there has been something of a lull. Still, we were able to find a few worthy things.
Let’s start with this video from a recent show at Ground Zero, where Detroit-based rockers The Electric Six still seem to have an interest in spending people money at the “Gay Bar.”
Someone who might well be interested in taking the Electric Six up on their offer is Spartanburg-based vlogger Kemosiri864, who talks about being young, gay and black in Spartanburg. Talk about brave! All of his videos have been uploaded this week, but we’ve opted to go with his first “topic” blog about his recent AIDS scare.
Another new YouTube poster is upstatedui (or Attorney Steve Sumner, if you want to be all real-worldy about it), who posted a series of videos about frequently asked questions on the ever-relevant topic of Driving Under the Influence. We’ve opted to cover a video that addresses a broader topic through that lens: “Do I have to answer an officers questions when pulled over?”
If there’s one kind of travel you should never do while intoxicated, it’s horseback riding. I mean, just look at this video and imagine trying to do it with a belly-full of Jäger.
How about we end on a tune? Here’s Lawrence Osborne-Quinnett performing Prokofiev’s “Toccata in D Minor.”
