Another step in the right direction?

Time for yet another Spark redesign.

Time for yet another Spark redesign.

Over the next few days, I’ll be tinkering a little with the Spark’s layout, trying to make it look a little more professional than it currently does, which, to be candid, shouldn’t be too hard. Although nothing SHOULD break, as I tinker with this stuff, it’s entirely possible something will. So, please bear with me.

On the upside, however, the site should be much improved once I’m done. If you notice a glitch, feel free to leave a comment here, or to contact me directly at publisher@spartanburgspark.com.

You gonna have a new logo? You should have a contest or just have an open invite for people to submit logos, if you care to have one that is.

  2. Clint: There will be a new logo, although it’ll probably be a few weeks after the site redesign. I’ve actually got a design for the next logo which I’m fairly happy with — much better than the current one, I think — but I’m not opposed to taking submissions for a new logo.

  3. After monkeying around with the new site design, I realized that it really wasn’t a viable alternative to the current site. Thanks to all of you for putting up with a full day of me messing around with the layout. More redesign work is coming, but for now we’re back to the old Spark design.

I like the way it looks at the moment – as of 9:30. Clean lines, nice title fonts too… The front page looks cool.

thanks for getting rid of the hideous purple in the logo.
Where’d you go to school? Furman?

  6. GB: No problem. The purple blue was originally supposed to make the yellow of the star pop a little more. With the next logo design, I don’t think it’ll be a problem anymore.
